The Joy & Hope Expedition

Find the Sources

Kansas City has more fountains than any city on earth but Rome. Spend the summer finding them — and fund a school in Haiti named for a spring.

Three districts. One summer. Every stop is a source.

Walk the Plaza, where forty fountains and sculptures sit inside fourteen blocks modelled on Seville. Work the River Market, where a steamboat loaded with frontier cargo lay buried under a cornfield for more than a century. Then head north to Liberty — a town that exists because of a spring.

Collect Drops at every stop. Answer a question a day. Fill the Metro Passport at eleven landmarks across greater Kansas City.

Why a school in Haiti?

Haiti Joy Hope funds a PreK–12 school on the Source de la Grâce campus in Portail Léogâne, within greater Port-au-Prince. Source de la Grâce means Source of Grace. Since April 2021 the school has served a hot meal to every student, every school day — for many of them, the meal that makes the learning possible.

Your $15 pass goes to that work. Presented by Serving Kingdom KC.
